“GovFaces may be one of our most powerful tools for interacting with citizens in the coming months,” he said. “I am very much looking forward to using it.”
GovFaces has a broad range of support from Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) of every party and EU member state. So far, many MEPs have pledged to use the platform at launch. Mr. Liberadzki, however, has decided to publicly endorse the platform prior to launch as a “GovFaces Champion.” This decision puts him in the highest level of GovFaces supporters.
Mr. Liberadzki, a member of the S&D-affiliated Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej, is the former Minister of Transport and Maritime Economy for Poland. He was first elected to his current position in 2004, and has been a member of the bureau of the European Parliament since 2012.
Mr. Liberadzki is also a Professor of Economics, and is the author and co-author of a number of domestic and foreign publications, research and books.
